‘Spider-Man’ Star Tom Holland Talks His Place in the MCU and Secret Identities

There was a lot to take in with Marvel’s first trailer for Captain America: Civil War, including lots of Bucky / Winter Soldier action, heroic friends turning on one another, and the debut of Black Panther. One thing we didn’t see was Tom Holland, the young actor who will make his debut as Spider-Man in Civil War before embarking on his own solo adventure. Marvel will probably continue to hide the new Spidey for a while, but Holland has a few things to say about playing the character and his place in the MCU.

‘Wonder Woman’ Set Photos Take Gal Gadot and Chris Pine Back in Time

As has been heavily rumored since last year, we know that at least part of the Wonder Woman solo film will take place during World War I, a fact supported by the first set photo of Chris Pine and co-star Said Taghmaoui, and reiterated by the latest batch of images from the set of the highly-anticipated solo superhero outing. The new photos reveal what Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince looks like in WWI-era civilian clothing and offer another look at Pine.

Angelina Jolie’s latest directorial effort was a bit of a risk for Universal, and one that doesn’t seem to be paying off as By the Sea has made less than half a million at the box office and word-of-mouth has been…less than kind. But it looks like the studio may have been well-prepared to take that risk, as a new report suggests that they took an interesting approach to negotiating their deal to produce Jolie’s film — and they have a couple of ideas for how the actress and director can pay them back.

Other than a mysterious voiceover in the very first teaser trailer, we’ve seen nothing of Andy Serkis’ mo-cap villain. In a development likely to give Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan some sense of relief, Universal has officially decided to shoot Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed back to back, giving its actors a chance to fulfill their commitments to the troubled franchise in one fell swoop. In addition, the studio has confirmed James Foley to direct both sequels, with author E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard adapting both stories for the big screen.

When James Bond reveals himself after several pages of dialogue-free cat-and-mouse, it’s with a kind of brutality you’d expect from a horror movie monster. Soon, 007’s target is dead and a murdered 00-agent have been avenged. But it’s a nasty scene. It’s not fun. It’s ugly. Bond has always been a proficient killer across every medium in which he’s appeared, but there’s something different here. Something meaner. Something colder.

New HBO NOW Releases: November 2015

Things are about to get kinky on HBO NOW for the month of November. Fifty Shades of Grey arrives on HBO’s new streaming service on November 21, in both rated and unrated cuts. (My sources tell me the unrated version contains at least six additional shades of Grey!) Other new movies include the awesome spy pastiche Kingsman: The Secret Service, and Liam Neeson’s latest action vehicle, Run All Night.

Just a couple of weeks ago Marvel readjusted their upcoming slate of films, shifting the release dates of Black Panther and Captain Marvel to allow room for Ant-Man and the Wasp, the official sequel to this year’s Ant-Man. It seemed a bit obvious that director Peyton Reed would return (especially when he tweeted about the sequel), though Marvel hasn’t made anything official until today.

Well, that did not take long at all. MGM Reviving ‘WarGames’ as an Experimental Interactive Short Film

There’s been talk of a WarGames remake for some time now — Seth Gordon was attached to direct before he signed on for the forever-developing Uncharted movie, and last we heard Project Almanac director Dean Israelite was attached. For now, it seems like MGM isn’t in a rush to revive the 1983 classic, at least not in the way you might expect. Instead, the studio is bringing WarGames back as an interactive short film / game.
