Game of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin Is Creating a New HBO Series

It will explore the life of a television sci-fi writer in 1949

George R.R. Martin is creating a new HBO series called Captain Cosmos, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The series will explore the life of a television sci-fi writer in 1949, the pivotal early period of television. The pilot episode will be penned by Syfy’s Z Nation writer Michael Cassutt and examine the character’s fearless willingness to tackle stories left unwritten by everyone else.
Martin has retreated from the limelight recently to devote his talents to the much-anticipated Winds of Winter novel, the sixth in the epic fantasy series Song of Ice and Fire, which was adapted into Game of Thrones on HBO.
While Martin toils on his upcoming books, fans can still catch some spoilers before the seventh novel is released. Game of Thrones will return to television on Apr. 12, and producers say the show will offer some plot details before Martin finishes his writing.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Spoilers: Ian Somerhalder teases fans an end to Delena; Lily alive to wreak more havoc

The Vampire Diaries season 6 spoilers promise some interesting and heartbreaking moments in the upcoming episode, from Elena rethinking her life, someone dead not actually dead, and the possibility of a new romantic pairing in the horizon.
With Stefan and Caroline killing people left and right, Damon comes up with a plan involving their dead mother, who ended up not being dead, Lily. It will be revealed that Lily was responsible for killing three thousand people before she was put in the prison world. Kai warns Damon that using her might cause more problems instead of fixing them and it will not be hard to subdue her since only a Gemini Coven can stop her.
This could spell more drama in the episodes to come in Vampire Diaries season 6. A ripper with no sure way of stopping her? This will not end well.
Meanwhile, Elena finds out that Jo is pregnant with Alaric's baby when Elena saved her, reminding her that she cannot have her own child. On top of his mother, Damon has to think about giving Elena the cure, which Bonnie recovered from the prison world. Could this be the end of Delena?Possibly.
Ian Somerhalder himself has hinted fans that Damon and Elena will not survive to the end of the series. If Elena gets the cure, she might look for someone who is not an immortal vampire.
There are also rumors of Bonnie and Damon becoming an item in future episodes. Ian teases that the two will have an intense scene together with Bonnie ranting about how she is always getting hurt in the end. Bonnie has been a reliable friend to him, even endangering herself for him, so their relationship could be a logical next step.
Spoilers have it that the return of Vampire Diaries season 6 for its next episode will bring much more drama to the table. Elena's inner struggles and the potential of Lily wreaking havoc after Stefan and Caroline are stopped (if they can be stopped) will definitely excite all of the shows fans, bringing them to the ends of their seats.
The Vampire Diaries resumes on air with episode 18 titled, "I Could Never Love Like That", on April 16 on the CW.

‘Tron 3’ Reportedly Titled ‘Tron: Ascension,’ Filming Confirmed For Late 2015

A few weeks ago, it was sort of abruptly revealed that a third Tron film would begin shooting this fall, despite the disappointing reception of Tron: Legacy. Director Joseph Kosinski is reportedly returning to helm the next installment, and according to previous details, the film will shoot in Canada this fall. In keeping with the previous installment, the new film will also get its own subtitle: Ascension.
Production Weekly tweeted about the new details, reporting that Tron 3 is titled Tron: Ascension, and confirming that the film is definitely shooting this fall in Vancouver — October, to be specific.

‘Jurassic World’ Director Colin Trevorrow Taking On ‘Book of Henry’ Next

Recently we reported that Colin Trevorrow will re-team with his Jurassic World producer Steven Spielberg on the sci-fi film Intelligent Life. But before the director begins production on that film, he’ll first tackle one of his passion projects: Book of Henry, based on a screenplay by author Gregg Hurwitz.
Deadline reports that Trevorrow has signed on to direct Book of Henry, and…that’s about it. No plot details are known at this time, but there must be a peculiar genre element to the project to attract the attention of Trevorrow, who made his directorial debut with the quirky sci-fi indie Safety Not Guaranteed.

Anthony Mackie Didn’t Know He Was in ‘Avengers 2’ Until He Saw the Poster

Now that we’re nearly a decade into the ever-ambitious Marvel cinematic universe and have had plenty of chances to observe, it’s safe to say that Marvel Studios moves in mysterious ways. The studio’s shared universe model has become the envy of Hollywood producers and the scourge of talent agencies, with their secretive development proving frustrating and fascinating in equal measure. Case in point: Anthony Mackie (AKA, Sam Wilson, the Falcon) now claims that he didn’t even know he was in Avengers: Age of Ultron until he saw his name on the poster.

Going Behind the ‘Age of Miracles’ With Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on the ‘Avengers 2’ Set

Joss Whedon didn't know if he wanted to return for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The first film had left him completely exhausted, and — mentally and physically — he just didn't know if he had it in him to make a sequel. But, because he's Joss Whedon, he could not stop thinking of cool ideas for another Avengers movie. Chiefly, he had two things that were “absolutes” if he was going to return: Ultron and Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch.

‘Heroes Reborn’: Masi Oka to Reprise Role as Hiro Nakamura

Lately, many beloved television series have been revived. Last year, 24 made its return to Fox. More recently, cult classic Twin Peaks has been positioned to receive new life on Showtime and Fox announced a six-episode event series based on the sci-fi favorite, The X-Files. Even the ’90s sitcom Coach is being revived at NBC.
One of the more anticipated returning series is NBC’s Heroes Reborn, the 13-episode miniseries continuing the storyline of Heroes. Although much of the cast has already been set, and a teaser trailer was unveiled during the Super Bowl, another fan-favorite character is now onboard to return.

‘The Wolverine 2’ Will Be Hugh Jackman’s Last Outing as the ‘X-Men’ Character

Recently, Hugh Jackman expressed a desire to continue playing Wolverine until he dies — or until Fox decides his time is up. It looks like that time is fast approaching, as Jackman himself has announced that The Wolverine 2 will be his final outing as the iconic X-Men character, although whether or not he’ll appear in X-Men: Apocalypse remains uncertain.
Jackman took to Instagram, where he posted a photo of his hand accessorized with his famous Wolverine claws, announcing that the upcoming Wolverine sequel will be his last.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Is Adding A Few NBA Stars

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is underway, filming the sequel to the surprising box office smash that rebooted a brand, and reunited Megan Fox with Michael Bay. While we don't have a lot of details on what's going down in the next film, we do know a couple of things that could and/or should be happening. The latest piece of the puzzle revealed is that members of the L.A. Clippers are going to be filming a scene for next summer's blockbuster. Now there's two interesting aspects about tomorrow's shoot that Markazi's Tweet left out. First, considering that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is supposed to take place in New York City, it's curious enough that the L.A. Clippers would be featured in the film at all. One would think that a film featuring New York superheroes would at least center itself around a game with the home team. Come to think of it, the next game the L.A. Clippers are playing is in Philadelphia tomorrow afternoon. It all seems suspicious - but let's think this one through a little more.

‘Star Trek 3’ Will Have the ‘Spirit of the TV Show,’ According to Writer and Star Simon Pegg

It was good news when Roberto Orci left the director’s chair on Star Trek 3. It was really good news when Fast and Furious franchise director Justin Lin took over. And it was even better news when it was announced that Simon Pegg would take over scripting duties, officially getting us excited for the third installment in the franchise after the somewhat disappointing Star Trek Into Darkness. And now Pegg is getting our hopes up even more, promising that the upcoming sequel is inspired by the original Star Trek television series.

Why Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Passed On Fifty Shades Of Grey

Emilia Clarke has revealed that she turned down the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Of Grey because she didn’t want to be recognized for constantly doing nudity. Throughout the opening seasons of Game Of Thrones Emilia Clarke regularly went buff, and she’s now explained that she doesn’t plan on doing so for a role in the near future.

During her chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Emilia Clarke revealed that she was approached to take the leading role in Fifty Shades Of Grey ahead of Dakota Johnson. However, she ultimately decided to turn the project down. And even though the adaptation has gone on to gross over $550 million at the box office, Clake insists that she has, "No regrets."

Jennifer Aniston Wedding Cancelled: Furious With Selena Gomez for Kissing Fiance Justin Theroux At Oscar Party

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have by far the longest engagement in Hollywood – and now that he has been trying to hook up with Selena Gomez, the odds of them ever getting married and saying their “I Do’s” are slim to none. Jennifer Aniston and her fiancé Justin were finally making plans for an elaborate and long overdue wedding in 2015 – but the hard-work and planning appears to have been all for nothing because Justin’s crush on Selena Gomez has caused a major riff in their relationship.
The March 30th edition of National Enquirer reveals that Justin made a move on Selena Gomez at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and shocked and embarrassed his fiancée Jennifer. An insider at the Vanity Fair party dished to the magazine, “Jen was in a booth showing her friend Amy Adams pictures on her phone of floral and seating arrangements for the wedding, when she looked up she saw Justin trying to dirty dance with Selena. Jen thought Justin was making a fool of himself by hanging on a girl young enough to be his daughter. Plus he was breakdancing and flailing all over the floor trying to impress Selena” The magazine’s sources go on to say that at some point in the night Justin Theroux even kissed Selena Gomez!

'Glee' Finale Recap: The Future is Bright And We're Crying

Was there ever any doubt Glee's finale was going to provoke some serious tears?
The two-hour final installment found the show flashing back to 2009 for the first hour, where fans got a reimagined look at the show's pilot with a bunch of scenes and perspectives we didn't originally see. Rachel once again had an intensity that would make The Rock jealous, Kurt was still closeted (love that we got some final Burt/Kurt scenes...sweetest part of the show!), Mercedes was struggling, and Tina reminded everyone she used to be goth, a fact we all promptly forgot once again.
Of course, the problem with the flashbacks is that Finn (Cory Monteith) isn't there to be part of them. The show handled it well, alluding to him often, but the real waterworks started at the end of the hour, where the iconic first auditorium performance of "Don't Stop Believin'" played out in full. Will Schuester is us all, crying from our couches.

Avengers 2 doesn't open for another few weeks, but deep inside Marvel headquarters they've already begun turning their attention to the next big movie: Captain America: Civil War. Frequently referred to as Avengers 2.5 because of the sheer amount of superheroes packed into this one film — Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Black Panther, Spider-Man and Hawkeye are all confirmed to star — the third Captain Americamovie might be the biggest superhero film yet. As Marvel gets ready to begin filming, a casting call has given us our first look at the film's plot.

The One Superhero Jim Parsons Really Wants To Play

Jim Parsons has made a name for himself playing the offbeat, often times patronizing, lovable genius Sheldon Cooper on CBS’ hit series The Big Bang Theory. But now he wants to take a new geeky direction. His character has a bevy of favorite comic book characters, including The Flash (which he dressed as for Halloween) and Batman. But if given the chance, Parsons would love to play a particular supervillain in a comic book movie at some point or another. Can you guess who it is? Hopefully it’s pretty obvious, as it seems like perfect casting.

The Real Reason Most Producers Don't Want To Work With Netflix

It would hardly be breaking news to assert that Netflix is quickly changing the business model when it comes to the distribution of films and television shows. Brandishing the most prominent streaming service, the company, with its 57 million subscribers in 50 countries, is continuing to reach into its ever-deepening pockets to build an empire of exclusive content, creating a platform of exposure that was previously not possible. Yet, for all the opportunities for exposure it has created, producers are finding that a business partnership with Netflix can sometimes be a poisoned gift. And yes, it’s due to the ever-critical variable of money.

SHARKNADO 2, the sequel to 2013's Sharknado, this time set in the Big Apple.

Fin Shepard and his ex-wife April Wexler are flying to New York City to promote How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters, a book April has written about the Los Angeles sharknado. As the plane comes in for a landing through a storm, it is battered by airborne sharks, losing an engine. Sharks enter the plane, killing passengers and crew, including both pilots. While Fin successfully lands the plane, April's hand is bitten off by a shark while she attempts to shoot it with an air marshal's handgin's sister, Ellen Brody, is sightseeing in New York with her family. Her husband, Martin, a childhood friend of Fin's, takes their son, Vaughn, to a Mets game at Citi Field along with Martin's and Fin's friends Skye (who is also Fin's ex-girlfriend) and Brian. Ellen takes their daughter, Mora, to the Statue of Liberty where she meets with her friends, Polly and Chrissie, who tell her about Fin's flight.
