‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Stormtrooper Figures Explain First Order Origins

One of the big exclusive action figures you can get at Comic-Con this year is the very first toy from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s a six-inch Black Series First Order Stormtrooper — and it looks pretty sleek. But what is the “First Order,” anyway? Some new packaging details have surfaced online to help explain.

Eric Goldman from IGN posted a photo of the packaging, which details the history of the First Order, the new villains of the galaxy far, far away.
The packaging is very detailed in its description, explaining the history of the Stormtroopers and how, after the fall of the Empire, they rose again as the First Order — that’s an apt, Nazi-like name to describe the troopers, who are participating in a “new era of ruthless brutality.”

Granted, they don’t look too much different from their predecessors, but they are slightly modified and upgraded, and oh so shiny and white.
Hasbro will be showing off the rest of the first wave of toys from The Force Awakens at Comic-Con in San Diego ahead of their September release.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18.
