On International Day Of Happiness, Ed Sheeran Admits Nothing Makes Him Happier Than Independent Women

This year, the UN teamed up with MixRadio to create the ultimate “happy” playlist, which is sure to liven up any train ride or dreaded visit to the treadmill.
The campaign pulls together tracks selected by your favorite artists like Cody Simpson, Pharrell, Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, as well as fans (like you!) participating at home using the hashtag #HappySoundsLike. The goal of the playlist is to celebrate the idea “that music has the ability to bring a moment of joy and inspire hope for a better tomorrow.”
“The pursuit of happiness is serious business,” said United Nations Secretary Ban Ki Moon on the day’s official website. “Happiness for the entire human family is one of the main goals of the United Nations.”
By raising Happiness Awareness, the event’s organizers want to show how “working to end conflict, poverty and other unfortunate conditions, in which so many of our fellow human beings live” can make the world a happier place.
