‘Tron 3’ Reportedly Titled ‘Tron: Ascension,’ Filming Confirmed For Late 2015

A few weeks ago, it was sort of abruptly revealed that a third Tron film would begin shooting this fall, despite the disappointing reception of Tron: Legacy. Director Joseph Kosinski is reportedly returning to helm the next installment, and according to previous details, the film will shoot in Canada this fall. In keeping with the previous installment, the new film will also get its own subtitle: Ascension.
Production Weekly tweeted about the new details, reporting that Tron 3 is titled Tron: Ascension, and confirming that the film is definitely shooting this fall in Vancouver — October, to be specific.

‘Jurassic World’ Director Colin Trevorrow Taking On ‘Book of Henry’ Next

Recently we reported that Colin Trevorrow will re-team with his Jurassic World producer Steven Spielberg on the sci-fi film Intelligent Life. But before the director begins production on that film, he’ll first tackle one of his passion projects: Book of Henry, based on a screenplay by author Gregg Hurwitz.
Deadline reports that Trevorrow has signed on to direct Book of Henry, and…that’s about it. No plot details are known at this time, but there must be a peculiar genre element to the project to attract the attention of Trevorrow, who made his directorial debut with the quirky sci-fi indie Safety Not Guaranteed.

Anthony Mackie Didn’t Know He Was in ‘Avengers 2’ Until He Saw the Poster

Now that we’re nearly a decade into the ever-ambitious Marvel cinematic universe and have had plenty of chances to observe, it’s safe to say that Marvel Studios moves in mysterious ways. The studio’s shared universe model has become the envy of Hollywood producers and the scourge of talent agencies, with their secretive development proving frustrating and fascinating in equal measure. Case in point: Anthony Mackie (AKA, Sam Wilson, the Falcon) now claims that he didn’t even know he was in Avengers: Age of Ultron until he saw his name on the poster.

Going Behind the ‘Age of Miracles’ With Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on the ‘Avengers 2’ Set

Joss Whedon didn't know if he wanted to return for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The first film had left him completely exhausted, and — mentally and physically — he just didn't know if he had it in him to make a sequel. But, because he's Joss Whedon, he could not stop thinking of cool ideas for another Avengers movie. Chiefly, he had two things that were “absolutes” if he was going to return: Ultron and Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch.

Ed Sheeran on Zayn Leaving One Direction: 'Whatever Makes Him Happy'

Ed Sheeran is a longtime friend to the guys of One Direction. In addition to their personal relationship, he penned a number tracks for the guys, including "18," featuring prominent vocals from Zayn Malik.
Sheeran spoke with Australian radio show Hughesy and Kate this week, and during the chat he shared his take on Malik's decision to leave the band.
"I think whatever makes him happy. The most important thing in life is to be happy, and if he was unhappy in that situation then, yeah, don't stay in it," he said. "You don't want to make yourself unhappy just to earn money, that's not what life's about. You're meant to enjoy life, and if he wasn't enjoying his life then fair play to him."

Destiny's Child reunion: Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams perform together in Las Vegas

It’s the reunion we’ve all been waiting for…. well kind of.
Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams gave fans a rare treat in Las Vegas when they took to the stage at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards.
The singers opened the ceremony and performed Williams’ hit “Say Yes” and a cover of "Alpha & Omega". "Say Yes" is a revamped electronic version of the Nigerian Gospel song “When Jesus Says Yes”.
The threesome were not billed to perform at the event and the trio surprised the audience with their one-off appearance.

iHeartRadio Music Awards 2015: Rihanna, Madonna, Taylor Swift and more set to appear

Rihanna will perform her new single for the first time, Sam Smith will deliver his soulful vocals, and Taylor Swift will be in the audience dancing along in her typical awards show form.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards will debut its second annual show Sunday from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Rihanna will sing "B---- Better Have My Money," released days ago.
Justin Timberlake will accept the 2015 iHeartRadio Innovator Award for his accomplishments as an entertainer.
Other performers include Madonna, Iggy Azalea, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and Meghan Trainor.
Jamie Foxx, who will host the show airing live on NBC, will also take the stage to perform a new song.
Swift, who is nominated for four awards including artist of the year, won't perform, but she is part of the line-up of attendees, which includes Ludacris, Ryan Seacrest, Gina Rodriguez and Jeremy Piven. Guests at the iHeartRadio Music Awards will sit at traditional tables — in the vein of the Golden Globes — instead of typical awards show seats.

‘Heroes Reborn’: Masi Oka to Reprise Role as Hiro Nakamura

Lately, many beloved television series have been revived. Last year, 24 made its return to Fox. More recently, cult classic Twin Peaks has been positioned to receive new life on Showtime and Fox announced a six-episode event series based on the sci-fi favorite, The X-Files. Even the ’90s sitcom Coach is being revived at NBC.
One of the more anticipated returning series is NBC’s Heroes Reborn, the 13-episode miniseries continuing the storyline of Heroes. Although much of the cast has already been set, and a teaser trailer was unveiled during the Super Bowl, another fan-favorite character is now onboard to return.

‘The Wolverine 2’ Will Be Hugh Jackman’s Last Outing as the ‘X-Men’ Character

Recently, Hugh Jackman expressed a desire to continue playing Wolverine until he dies — or until Fox decides his time is up. It looks like that time is fast approaching, as Jackman himself has announced that The Wolverine 2 will be his final outing as the iconic X-Men character, although whether or not he’ll appear in X-Men: Apocalypse remains uncertain.
Jackman took to Instagram, where he posted a photo of his hand accessorized with his famous Wolverine claws, announcing that the upcoming Wolverine sequel will be his last.

Lady Gaga: ‘Bad Romance’ Singer Turns 29 — Happy Birthday

There’s no reason to hold your applause behind your poker face because it’s time to party! Lady Gaga celebrates turning 29 today, March 28, and HollywoodLife.com is looking back on her phenomenal year.

Sing rah-rah-ah-ah-ah for Lady Gaga because it’s her birthday! Yes, the “Bad Romance” singer was born today on March 29. Gaga’s known for her powerful voice and unforgettable outfits.

Lady Gaga’s Birthday: ‘Born This Way’ Singer Turns 29 On March 28

2014 was a whirlwind year for Gaga, full of emotional highs and lows. It was a year that she opened up and allowed the world to know the real person behind the elaborate costumes and spectacular stage shows.
In the March 2014 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Gaga discussed how she had developed and overcome an eating disorder. Unfortunately, she would run into a different kind of “eating disorder” controversy, when her 2014 South By Southwest performance featured a performance artist who vomited all over Gaga. Demi Lovato and others called Gaga out for glorifying bulimia.

One Direction’s Furious With Zayn Malik Over First Interview — Why

Zayn Malik may feel as though a weight has been lifted off his shoulders now that he’s given his first interview since leaving One Direction, but  his former bandmates aren’t too happy with him because of it. Find out why!

It hasn’t even been a week since Zayn Malik, 22, quit One Direction, but he’s already creating bad blood between him and the band. Zayn’s recent interview — his first since leaving the group — has rubbed Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan the wrong way.

One Direction Reacts To Zayn Malik’s Interview — Why They’re Furious With Him

“Harry and the boys were somewhat heartbroken when Zayn left, but they knew he wasn’t well and were very supportive. But his recent interview left a bad taste in their mouths. He made it sound like being in One Direction and singing with them was a prison sentence. Also, he made it seem like he only did it for the fans — what about his bandmates? It sounded as if he had no loyalty to his mates. It’s not just about letting down the fans, what about letting down the guys who supported him during all his struggles?” a source tells.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Is Adding A Few NBA Stars

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is underway, filming the sequel to the surprising box office smash that rebooted a brand, and reunited Megan Fox with Michael Bay. While we don't have a lot of details on what's going down in the next film, we do know a couple of things that could and/or should be happening. The latest piece of the puzzle revealed is that members of the L.A. Clippers are going to be filming a scene for next summer's blockbuster. Now there's two interesting aspects about tomorrow's shoot that Markazi's Tweet left out. First, considering that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is supposed to take place in New York City, it's curious enough that the L.A. Clippers would be featured in the film at all. One would think that a film featuring New York superheroes would at least center itself around a game with the home team. Come to think of it, the next game the L.A. Clippers are playing is in Philadelphia tomorrow afternoon. It all seems suspicious - but let's think this one through a little more.

‘Star Trek 3’ Will Have the ‘Spirit of the TV Show,’ According to Writer and Star Simon Pegg

It was good news when Roberto Orci left the director’s chair on Star Trek 3. It was really good news when Fast and Furious franchise director Justin Lin took over. And it was even better news when it was announced that Simon Pegg would take over scripting duties, officially getting us excited for the third installment in the franchise after the somewhat disappointing Star Trek Into Darkness. And now Pegg is getting our hopes up even more, promising that the upcoming sequel is inspired by the original Star Trek television series.

Singer Tiffany Alvord Explains How to Become a YouTube Star

Internet celebrity Tiffany Alvord is one of most popular unsigned female singers on YouTube. She gained fame from her video covers of Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea and Pink, while also performing her own original music.
The doe-eyed 22-year-old now has 2.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Did you always want to be a singer?
I actually wanted to be an actress at first. I took acting classes. I loved singing but I loved songwriting more. That’s my real passion and that’s what came along with singing. I started pursuing that when I found YouTube.

Might Taylor Swift Be Dating Calvin Harris?

It has been a while since we’ve had a Taylor Swift dating rumor to obsess over. There was a brief drizzle in November, when she was pictured a few times withAnsel Elgort, and a more sustained rain storm when she traded numbers with the lead singer of The 1975 and attended a few of his concerts, but now—now, friends—it appears we have a full-on downpour. (We hope we are making all of our past English teachers proud with this extended Taylor Swift dating-rumors-as-rain metaphor.)

Why Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Passed On Fifty Shades Of Grey

Emilia Clarke has revealed that she turned down the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Of Grey because she didn’t want to be recognized for constantly doing nudity. Throughout the opening seasons of Game Of Thrones Emilia Clarke regularly went buff, and she’s now explained that she doesn’t plan on doing so for a role in the near future.

During her chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Emilia Clarke revealed that she was approached to take the leading role in Fifty Shades Of Grey ahead of Dakota Johnson. However, she ultimately decided to turn the project down. And even though the adaptation has gone on to gross over $550 million at the box office, Clake insists that she has, "No regrets."

‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ Eyes Ben Mendelsohn for Leading Role

Now that the first Star Wars spinoff has an official title and an official leading lady, it’s about time for the project to get into gear and add a few more faces. Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn might just be the first name to join the cast opposite Felicity Jones, which is a very, very exciting prospect if you’ve paid any attention to Mendelsohn’s work at all.
According to Deadline, Mendelsohn is “circling” a leading role opposite Jones in Star Wars: Rogue One. Mendelsohn’s been acting since the ‘80s, but he didn’t really break through until the acclaimed 2010 Australian crime drama Animal Kingdom. Recently, he’s delivered similarly great performances in The Place Beyond the Pines and Starred Up, and he stars on the new Netflix series Bloodline.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Sequel Loses Director Sam Taylor-Johnson

And so it begins. We’ve heard the stories of issues on set between Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson and author E.L. James, making it seem unlikely that Taylor-Johnson would return to direct the sequel. Universal has now made it official: Fifty Shades Darker is in the market for a new director, as Taylor-Johnson has declined to return.
Taylor-Johnson’s unsatisfactory experience working on Fifty Shades of Grey has been no secret, and the director herself was quite forthcoming in a great Vanity Fair profile covering the making of the film. So Variety’s report that Taylor-Johnson has decided not to return for Fifty Shades Darker isn’t exactly surprising, though it is disappointing.
Screenwriter Kelly Marcel will also not return to script the sequel, as rumors have been swirling that E.L. James is demanding more script control — which isn’t a good thing. According to previous reports, James’ interference led to the first film’s tepid ending, but it was Marcel’s work on the script that elevated the source material from a joyless, flat and oft-offensive narrative to an entertaining (if not particularly great) story, giving the character of Anastasia a sense of humor and even more important, a sense of agency.

Taylor Swift Reuniting With John Mayer After Katy Perry Split?

Dear John — Taylor Swift reportedly wants to get together with you! And T-Swift’s timing couldn’t be better since her ex and long-time rival, Katy Perry, just broke up again!

Is John Mayer, 37, ready to let go of his “Bad Blood” with former flame, Taylor Swift, 25? We hope so, because now that he and Katy Perry, 30, have called it quits after a two month reconciliation, T-Swizzle is allegedly attempting to revive her relationship with John. Jeez —  this love triangle just can’t seem to go away!

Taylor Swift Contacted John Mayer After Katy Perry Split

But, don’t worry, Swifties — Taylor isn’t trying to have a romantic reunion with John! The “Blank Space” singer apparently just wants to work with him in the studio.
“She’s reached out to him to do a duet,” reports   on Taylor trying to reconnect with John following his split from rival Katy.
It’s actually a fairly odd request; we wonder if Mr. Mayer has been able to shake off any scarring he had from Taylor’s candid lyrics about their breakup in her song “Dear John”?

Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars Top Hot 100 for 12th Week

Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, leads the Billboard Hot 100 for a 12th week, while Flo Rida's "G.D.F.R." enters the top 10, marking the Sunshine State rapper's first top 10 in more than two years
As we do each Wednesday, let's run down all the songs riding up and down the top 10 of the sales/airplay/streaming-based Hot 100.
"Funk!," released on RCA Records, becomes just the 15th No. 1 in the Hot 100's five-and-a-half-decade history to rule for at least 12 weeks. It also ties for the longest reign of the 2010s: Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Pharrell, also logged a 12-week command beginning in June 2013.

Britney Spears & Her Sons Shine On The Cover Of 'People'

Britney Spears is splashed on the cover of the latest issue of People and the pop superstar has some rapidly growing pic co-stars sharing the spotlight.
Yes, that's nine-year-old Sean Preston and eight-year-old Jayden hanging out with their mom on the front of the mag. The family's all smiles on the cover and Britney beams about her boys inside the pages too.
"I’m the happiest I’ve ever been," shared Britney on her sons. "My kids come first in my life, bottom line.
The "Stronger" songstress revealed that she's a hands-on mom that takes the two boys to gymnastics, soccer gamesplay dates and keeps her kids on the ball when it comes to homework. Preston's request for a $10-20 weekly allowance is still being mulled over by themusic titan mom.

Bradley Cooper to Direct and Possibly Star in ‘A Star Is Born’ Remake With Beyonce

It was recently reported that Bradley Cooper has been looking to make his directorial debut, and although it was rumored that his first project would be Honeymoon With Harry, Cooper’s first film might be something different — and a little more exciting. Cooper is eyeing the long-gestating remake of A Star Is Born featuring none other than Queen Beyoncé herself.
Deadline reports that Cooper is in talks with Warner Bros. to helm the remake, which Clint Eastwood was previously circling (perhaps not coincidentally?). Beyoncé was interested in starring in the film back when Eastwood was interested in directing it, and given the right director, she could still very well commit. The report notes that the pop icon hasn’t been “re-approached formally” yet.

‘The Trap’ Replaces Jamie Foxx With Idris Elba, Adds Al Pacino, James Franco and Robert Pattinson

Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine’s next project may have just lost Jamie Foxx, but it also just attracted a bunch of great names. Idris Elba will take Foxx’s role as a gangster rapper in The Trap, which also just added Korine’s Manglehorn co-star Al Pacino, Spring Breakers star James Franco, and Robert Pattinson. Oh, and it also stars Benicio del Toro. What a cast.
According to THR, Foxx has dropped out of the project, but there’s a gigantic silver lining: Idris Elba will take his part, playing a gangster rapper named Rico, who committed a robbery years earlier with his best friend, Slim (Del Toro). Rico is primed to win big on the night of the Grammys, but a recently freed Slim has other plans when he discovers that his old pal has become incredibly successful. Not only that, but Rico married Slim’s old girlfriend and has been raising their son as his own.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Will Reportedly Have Some Mutant Cameos

The rumor says that not only has Captain Marvel been cast, but she’ll be making her first appearance in the already superhero-heavy Avengers: Age of Ultron. Having major superheroes make cameos or debut in other films from their respective studios has become the norm, so it’s hardly surprising to hear that X-Men: Apocalypse — which is said to primarily focus on the First Class cast — will feature a few cameos from other X-Men…including one pretty exciting mutant in particular.

Wilmer Valderrama and Girlfriend Demi Lovato: Surprise for Singer at Mental Health Benefit Show

At a benefit show, Demi Lovato shared stories about her mental health journey with some of her fans, and the singer didn't know that she was about to have a very special guest that night.
The "Skyscraper" singer was raising money for her Lovato Treatment Scholarship Program with a benefit concert where she performed at the event and answered questions from fans.
"My heart is broken that he [Wilmer Valderrama] couldn't be here tonight," she told the audience. But before Lovato could say anything more, the crowd started squealing and cheering as Valderrama suddenly came up behind her and shocked the thrilled singer.
"Stop," she said with a huge smile on her face, before bursting into tears and giving Valderrama a kiss, to the delight of the audience.

Rihanna & Chris Brown: She Believes He Can Be ‘Remarkable’ Father

Chris Brown, 25, has really turned over a new leaf and even one of his exes is impressed. No, it isn’t Karrueche Tran, but rather Rihanna, 27. A insider close to the Barbadian singer exclusively told HollywoodLife.com that RiRi’s seen Chris at his best and knows he has the potential to be a good dad.

Rihanna & Chris Brown: She Feels He Has The Potential To Be A Good Parent

Chris has a new girl in his life, and that’s a good thing! Royalty has become the only lady he’s focused on, and even his former girlfriend Rihanna thinks Chris could be a great father — if he sets his mind to it!
“Rihanna loves kids. Adores them! She thinks Chris will be good at whatever he sets his mind to,” a insider tells . “She’s seen him focused and at his best when he’s concentrating on his music or rehearsing a dance. He’s so focused in the moments.”

Our source added, “If he gives Royalty the same attention, energy and love he does his music, that girl will have one remarkable father.” Wow, that’s big coming from Rihanna.

2014 Was A Very Rough Year For Women In Film

It was reported a while ago that 2014 was a pretty rough year at the box office - with ticket sales coming in at a 20 year low - but as it turns out, the negatives sadly don't stop there. New statistics have been calculated, and according to the findings, last year was not a good one for female characters in feature films.

Silk has published their findings after studying the roles for women in films from 2010 to 2014, and in their breakdown it's noted that only 55.4 percent of the 175 movies screened actually managed to pass the Bechdel Test (a three step quiz that requires a movie to have at least two named female characters, have those female characters talk to each other, and discuss something other than men in order to pass). This number is way down from 2013, which had 67.5 percent of films sampled pass, and is the only year since 2010 to score less than 60 percent - though it is admitted that the sample size from last year was smaller simply due to accessibility. New York Magazine points out that in the past 20 years only 1998, 2002, and 2009 had comparably dismal results.

Mallrats 2 Is Coming Back With At Least These 5 Characters

It was just last week that director Kevin Smith hinted that he was developing a Mallrats 2, and while he has three movies lined up to film before working on that project, that hasn’t stopped him from starting to get a cast together. It seems the Jersey-born filmmaker wants the new feature to reunite a number of characters from the original, and he’s already locked in a number of stars to help him complete that dream.

But who exactly is on board so far? Here’s the quick run-down:

How Tom Cruise Did That Insane Plane Stunt For Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

The first full trailer for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation ends with quite a bang, and a stunt that easily rivals the Burj Khalifa sequence in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. The sight of Ethan Hunt hanging on to the side of taking-off airplane is an unbelievable one to behold - and it's only made more impressive when you rememberthat Tom Cruise actually performed the real stunt himself. But how did this stunt actually get done? The star and director Christopher McQuarrie have revealed all in a recent interview.

Timed with the release of the new trailer, Yahoo! UK has posted an extended interview they did with both Cruise and McQuarrie, in which the two men discuss the details behind what looks to be Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's biggest spectacle sequence. Apparently the idea of riding on the side of a plane is something that the actor has been thinking about doing for a while, and he describes it as "undoubtedly the most dangerous thing [he's] ever done." He and his Mission: Impossible 5 director knew that they needed to top what Ghost Protocol brought to the table, and it was McQuarrie who ultimately brought the idea to the table for the blockbuster. The filmmaker explained,

Jennifer Aniston Wedding Cancelled: Furious With Selena Gomez for Kissing Fiance Justin Theroux At Oscar Party

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have by far the longest engagement in Hollywood – and now that he has been trying to hook up with Selena Gomez, the odds of them ever getting married and saying their “I Do’s” are slim to none. Jennifer Aniston and her fiancé Justin were finally making plans for an elaborate and long overdue wedding in 2015 – but the hard-work and planning appears to have been all for nothing because Justin’s crush on Selena Gomez has caused a major riff in their relationship.
The March 30th edition of National Enquirer reveals that Justin made a move on Selena Gomez at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and shocked and embarrassed his fiancée Jennifer. An insider at the Vanity Fair party dished to the magazine, “Jen was in a booth showing her friend Amy Adams pictures on her phone of floral and seating arrangements for the wedding, when she looked up she saw Justin trying to dirty dance with Selena. Jen thought Justin was making a fool of himself by hanging on a girl young enough to be his daughter. Plus he was breakdancing and flailing all over the floor trying to impress Selena” The magazine’s sources go on to say that at some point in the night Justin Theroux even kissed Selena Gomez!

Step Into Beyoncé's Shoes

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI has revealed that he has created a shoe with Beyoncé Knowles, which will be released in just a week or two.
The shoe - predictably considering that neither party is known for a love of comfortable flats - will be an "ultra-thick platform" with a stiletto heel. Also predictably, Beyoncé had her own ideas for how she wanted the fruits of their collaboration to turn out, happily taking the reins in the design process. And Zanotti has nothing but praise for her efforts.

Nicki Minaj Just Scored Another Billboard Record — With A Little Help From Beyonce

Setting records on Billboard is nothing new for Nicki Minaj.
She was setting them even early in her career — including in 2010, by having the most singles on the Hot 100 chart at one time, and in 2011, with the most weeks in the top ten on theBillboard 200 albums chart.
Still, that doesn’t make her latest — where she became the first woman to have four songs in the top ten of the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart simultaneously — any less impressive.
In fact, only two other artists, male or female, have done that before: Her labelmates, Drake and Lil Wayne.
Prior to this week, she had three: “Throw Some Mo,” with Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug; “Only,” with Wayne, Drake and Chris Brown; and “Truffle Butter,” also featuring Weezy and Drizzy.
As for her fourth, she got an assist from Beyoncé. “Feeling Myself,” their collab off of The Pinkprint, crept from #11 to #10 this week.
When Nicki got the news on Tuesday, while overseas on tour, she expressed her excitement on Instagram.

Big Sean Reveals His Favorite Ariana Grande Songs

Big Sean and Ariana Grande seem to have the kind of relationship that makes us jaded millenials want to give dating another try — or at least go back on Tinder. Not only do they take the most adorable Instagram photos, Sean and Ari know the words to each others’ songs. Because they actually like each others’ songs.
While at SXSW last week, Sean spoke to Big Morning Buzz Live host Nick Lachey about Ariana Grande’s music and revealed his favorite songs of her’s. We knew Ari was a huge fan of Sean’s music, as evidenced by this Instagram video of her mouthing the lyrics to “Play No Games,” and now, we know that the feeling is mutual.
Find out which Ariana Grande songs are Big Sean’s favorites, and hear him talk about working with Kanye West, who gave Sean his big break, on Dark Sky Paradise in the clip

On International Day Of Happiness, Ed Sheeran Admits Nothing Makes Him Happier Than Independent Women

This year, the UN teamed up with MixRadio to create the ultimate “happy” playlist, which is sure to liven up any train ride or dreaded visit to the treadmill.
The campaign pulls together tracks selected by your favorite artists like Cody Simpson, Pharrell, Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, as well as fans (like you!) participating at home using the hashtag #HappySoundsLike. The goal of the playlist is to celebrate the idea “that music has the ability to bring a moment of joy and inspire hope for a better tomorrow.”
“The pursuit of happiness is serious business,” said United Nations Secretary Ban Ki Moon on the day’s official website. “Happiness for the entire human family is one of the main goals of the United Nations.”
By raising Happiness Awareness, the event’s organizers want to show how “working to end conflict, poverty and other unfortunate conditions, in which so many of our fellow human beings live” can make the world a happier place.

Romeo And Juliet Is Getting A 300-Style Remake

If Hollywood is going to keep bringing William Shakespeare's classic romance Romeo and Juliet back to the big screen, then that means that they are going to have to approach it from absolutely every creative angle imaginable. In the last few years alone we've seen multiple examples of this, but now another one is coming down the pipe - and this one is apparently being made in the style of Zack Snyder's 300

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures is now in talks to pick up Verona, a new film inspired by the aforementioned classic tale of star-crossed lovers. The project is being based on a spec script written by Neil Widener and Gavin James, and Joe Roth  is attached to produce. Exact details of how the new approach will work are reportedly being kept tightly under wraps, but the trade report says that the movie will "reimagine the classic love story through a lens of an epic, 300-style world."

Captain America: Civil War Is Looking For Wakandans

After many years of waiting, Black Panther is finally coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As was confirmed last October, the character - played by Chadwick Boseman - will be making his debut in Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain America: Civil War. Because of this, we've long expected that at least some of the blockbuster would be set in the hero's African homeland of Wakanda, but now the production appears to be on the lookout for some actors who can play some of Black Panther's countrymen.

A new casting call has been posted over at the website Tammy Smith Casting, and while the notice says that the production is using the working title Sputnik, it's schedule for shooting in Atlanta definitely matches up with Captain America: Civil War's plans. The film appears to be looking for a wide variety of extras, but the most interesting category is the section looking for African men and women in ethnic wardrobe.

This Rotten Week: Predicting Get Hard And Home Reviews

The spring movie season is continuing on in dribs and drabs in 2015, as it’s been some time since there’s been anything for us to get too worked up over. It’s that post-Oscars, pre-summer lull when studios throw out a bunch of mediocrity in the hopes that something sticks. This week we get hard on the way home.

Just remember, I'm not reviewing these movies, but rather predicting where they'll end up on the Tomatometer. Let's take a look at what This Rotten Week has to offer.
Because I know it’s important to establish an identity in prison early, in order to fit into the social structure of endless confinement, I know how I’d roll in there day one. My strategy would be to walk in as the prison sommelier. I figure everyone would want to know the perfect dinner wine pairings and they’d know to come to me in order to make sure they were putting their Grigio and light fish together. And those Cabs and meat are going to really make the experience worth the trip. They’d love me in prison.

Is A Jennifer Lopez And Rihanna Collaboration In Our Future?

The two multi-hyphenate superstars recently costarred in the new Dreamworks animated film,Home, with Jennifer voicing the character of Lucy, the mother of Rihanna’s Tip. Fortunately for everyone, their bond has jumped off the screen and into real life.
In an interview with E! News, Jennifer said, “I’m a huge Rihanna fan … and I feel like she’s such a girl’s girl, which I love, because I’m a girl’s girl and she seems very sweet.”
And a duet might be under way too. When asked if she’d ever collaborate with Rihanna, Jennifer said, “Absolutely! Who wouldn’t?!” Can you imagine what that would sound like? Can we wish that into existence?
Jennifer also gushed about Rihanna’s awe-inspiring cool-girl status, adding, “And I love the edginess about her and I think she did a really great job in this film.”
Hold on, because the love fest didn’t just end with Jennifer. In an interview with Graziamagazine, Rihanna also praised Jennifer’s warmth.
“When you hear Jennifer, her voice has that warmth and safeness that my mother’s has. It has that tone. It’s almost like it can hug you,” Rihanna offered. That should come as no surprise as Jennifer has shown off her solid mothering skills as the mom to twins Max and Emme.
‘I love her. She is great,” Rihanna added. “Doesn’t everybody want JLo to be their mum?”
The answer? Always yes!

One Direction Did The Cutest Thing At Their First Show Without Zayn

After the utterly devastating news that Zayn Malik is taking a break from One Direction’s On The Road Again Tour, fans were left with a TON of questions. Would 1D carry on with their tour as planned? Who would take Zayn’s solos? Would it all be one big disaster?
On Saturday (Mar. 21), we finally got some answers, when the boys took the stage as a foursome in Manila, Philippines — and we’re happy to that it looks like it couldn’t have gone better.
The show kicked off with what might possibly be the world’s cutest display of friendship. Directioners might remember that, when Zayn missed a 1D performance on the “Today” show in Orlando last November, Liam Payne introduced the band simply by their first names and not as One Direction. According to onlookers last night, they did the same thing, which made fans feel ALL THE FEELS.

'Glee' Finale Recap: The Future is Bright And We're Crying

Was there ever any doubt Glee's finale was going to provoke some serious tears?
The two-hour final installment found the show flashing back to 2009 for the first hour, where fans got a reimagined look at the show's pilot with a bunch of scenes and perspectives we didn't originally see. Rachel once again had an intensity that would make The Rock jealous, Kurt was still closeted (love that we got some final Burt/Kurt scenes...sweetest part of the show!), Mercedes was struggling, and Tina reminded everyone she used to be goth, a fact we all promptly forgot once again.
Of course, the problem with the flashbacks is that Finn (Cory Monteith) isn't there to be part of them. The show handled it well, alluding to him often, but the real waterworks started at the end of the hour, where the iconic first auditorium performance of "Don't Stop Believin'" played out in full. Will Schuester is us all, crying from our couches.
